I wish I had a super exciting, elaborate story behind the creation of Cozy Croissant Embroidery, but honestly, it was somewhat as spontaneous as when I decided to move to Paris to be an au pair after college. I’ve always been someone who follows my own rhythm, and this time, it led me to entrepreneurship after I realized I couldn’t answer the age-old question of what I wanted to be when I grew up, even after I reached my thirties.

Looking back, I can see the signs that led me to be a solopreneur. I founded a campus club during undergrad, traveled solo around the world in my early twenties, and moved to three different countries. I’ve always celebrated time spent alone—especially back then. There was a certain impatience in me that wondered, “If not now, then when?” Waiting for the perfect moment or other people was often less scary than wondering what if. I have even gone to see Fred Again and Bon Iver by myself — because when I love something, I’m all in!

And if this sounds like it comes from a place of privilege, I won’t deny it. But I believe that both truths—privilege and hard work—can coexist. I worked at a restaurant to support myself throughout college. I now proudly consider myself a restaurant industry alum – TLDR, I spent more hours waiting tables than in class. If you have ever worked more than one double in a row, you know this isn't a stretch. ;)

Much of my inspiration for the business comes from my past travels and years in the restaurant industry. My resourcefulness has shaped my creativity and entrepreneurial mindset. I truly believe that who we are and the stories behind what we do shape our perceptions of the world. I’m excited to share all of this with you as we build Cozy Croissant Embroidery!

Thanks so much for being here xx
